Mission

Believing that a transformative idea is only as valuable as it is actionable, Common Praxis is a transdisciplinary design/research collective based in NYC and Toronto that is dedicated to producing active research and creative projects about the Commons. With a civic attitude, Common Praxis fuses art, participatory urban research, strategic design, activism, community engagement and urban analysis to co-create new solutions for complex problems. Simply put, we work with people to shape their urban and natural environments, in ways that are just, equitable and lasting.
